Have you ever been tempted to try vegetarianism, but thought you might miss meat? The good news is it doesn’t have to be all or nothing, there is a happy medium.
So says The Vegetarian Society of Singapore who will be delivering a talk on how to incorporate more vegetables into your diet and reduce your intake of meat.
A new study from Harvard School of Public Health proves that substituting other protein sources for red meat could lower the risk of heart disease for women. And according to a recent report from the UN, the world needs to change to a more vegetarian diet to stand a chance of tackling climate change.
Becoming a Vegetarian or a Vegan is certainly becoming more popular in recent years. People make this lifestyle change for various reasons, such as a for health, to make a stand against the cruel treatment of animals, or even to be more environmentally responsible. Some others becoming pescatarian (eating only seafood) or become “weekday vegetarians” allowing themselves meat on Saturdays and Sundays.
