IT'S YOUR PLATFORM! Formed in April 2005, Youth @Aware is a forum for today's younger women and men to make greater inroads with their ideas, their thoughts, their passion and their advocacy so that the next generation will again, through them have their own space. Youth @AWARE aims to raise social consciousness among young women and men on gender issues. We engage young women by providing them with an opportunity to get involved and a platform to voice their concerns about issues that affect them. Youth @AWARE challenges young women to come up with ideas that are true to their generation. Being an empowered community of young women doesn’t mean replicating and following what came before but finding our own way. As AWARE turns 21 this year, we think of and are grateful for the victories we have inherited from those who came before us. And whilst we honour their courage in challenging the system, their passion and unrelenting drive, it is also time for us embark on our own journey of rejuvenation that will ensure AWARE’s relevance in the 20 years ahead. “An important aspect of our work is that we are here for the NOW. It's not the passing of the torch that we want as young women, but the sharing of the torch.” – Harmin Kaur, founding Chairperson, Youth @ AWARE Recent activities organized by Youth @ AWARE:
