Take a self-defence course. It may prove useful in the face of an attack
When you are out, make a mental note of your surroundings and be aware of the company you are with
- If you have been raped, don't be afraid or ashamed to speak out or lodge a police report
- Rapist usually look for women they believe are vulnerable, so if you find yourself in a compromising situation, don't stay quiet. Kick, scream, or make noise (unless you're threatened with physical harm, or a weapon). You want to catch your aggressor off-guard
- Always be aware of the power dynamic between you and any male higher-ups (e.g. a male superior you trust, a teacher, a boss, or an older male
relative)
