The AWARE helpline was started in 1991 by a group of women who felt the need for a special telephone service specifically addressing the needs of women. It was the first secular women’s Helpline in Singapore.

The Helpline puts AWARE members in touch with the needs of women in Singapore.  AWARE has been able to successfully advocate for changes based on information and feedback received from the Helpline.

The Helpline functions from 3 pm to 9.30 pm on all working days.  Calls are taken by trained volunteers. A trained social worker manages the Helpline.

If you need to speak to someone about your problems, you can call the AWARE Helpline at 1800 774 5935.  The Helpline works from 3 pm to 9.30 pm on all working days.

To volunteer as a Helpliner, you must be at least 23 years of age.
