AWARE Ball 2026: Find the hope punk in you!
July 16th, 2026 | Events, News, Volunteering & Fundraising

This year’s Ball is rooted in the theme of Hopepunk: the belief that optimism isn’t passive. Hope is something we must actively build and fight for in the communities we inhabit. Living in a world fractured by systemic inequalities and injustice, it is easy to default to cynicism. Instead, we choose to reject narratives of helplessness. We are choosing to imagine and demand a future grounded in care, justice, and collective action, together.
Date: Saturday, 19 September 2026, 6.15pm till late
Venue: Island Ballroom, Shangri-La Singapore
Dress Themes: Choose one or mix it up.
Revolutionaries & Rebels; Hopepunk & Future Builders; Woodstock

Our Entertainment

This year, we’re pairing our mainstay powerhouse host Pam Oei with the funny, warm, and immensely talented Timothy Wan for the first time. Beloved by audiences for his roles as the Ah Beng Scarecrow in Wild Rice’s The Wizard of Oz and Associate Pastor Joshua in The Christians, Timothy is excited to be co-hosting his first AWARE Ball alongside Pam.
For the first time ever, they’ll also be joined by John Lee, the golden voice behind acappella group Vocaluptuous and an acclaimed voice teacher and pianist, and Julian Wong, the musical genius behind productions such as Don’t Call Him Mr. Mari Kita and Tunggu Sekejap: The P. Ramlee Suite. Together, they’ll present a one-of-a-kind musical showdown—two keyboards, four voices, and a hilarious roasting of local gender policies.
To close the night, DJ Aldrin will keep the energy high and the dance floor moving until the very end.
